Jerod’s journey started early, becoming the 2001 Arkansas High School State Champion Bareback Rider, and continued through college where he competed at the CNFR Playoffs in 2003. He went on to build a long professional career as a PRCA Bareback Rider from 2001 to 2019, earning 5 qualifications to the PRCA Prairie Circuit Finals.


Beyond competing, Jerod has made a major impact behind the scenes. He has served as an 8-time PRCA Prairie Circuit Bareback Riding Director, coached at both Tarleton State University and South Plains College, and now works as a PRCA Youth Program Liaison, helping guide and develop the next generation in the sport.


This episode dives into the transition from competitor to leader, the lessons learned along the way, and the importance of giving back to the rodeo community.
